THE STONE AGE INSTITUTE® (“the Stone Age Institute” or “SAI”) will permit the fair use of the FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ website Content as defined by copyright law. THE STONE AGE INSTITUTE® is the owner of the compilation of content that is posted on the FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ websites, which consists of text, images, audio, video, databases, design, codes and software (“Content”). However, the Stone Age Institute does not necessarily own each component of the compilation.     • You understand that the SAI assumes no responsibility nor liability arising from the posting of your content, nor for any error, defamation, libel, omission, obscenity, danger or inaccuracy contained in any posted information or from any failure or delay in removing such content.
    • You will not introduce any software viruses, worms or other programs designed to damage software, hardware or telecommunications equipment.
    • You agree that you will not collect information about the users of this website or use such information for any purpose.
    • You are not under the age of 13.

The Stone Age Institute reserves the right to monitor content or information provided by website visitors in its sole discretion, to edit or remove any content that, in the SAI’s judgment, does not comply with the foregoing requirements. The SAI is not responsible for any user-generated content that is posted on the FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ website nor for any failure or delay in removing such content.

Copyright Complaints

Personally identifying information will also be collected when you make a tax-deductible contribution electronically or by mail. The SAI does not store sensitive data such as credit card information or bank account numbers. All electronic monetary transactions are securely handled by First Data Global Gateway Connect®, an international payments processing company, which uses a multi-layered security system to maintain data security.

When you visit the SAI websites, information is automatically gathered and stored so that we can gather statistics about the use of our websites in order to make improvements and maintain an optimum communication strategy with SAI’s interested audiences. This information is stored and used in the aggregate only, so that individuals remain anonymous.

Children’s Guidelines

The Stone Age Institute intends to fully observe the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). The SAI websites will not knowingly collect identifying personal information from children under age 13. If it comes to our attention that we have received personally identifying information from a person under the age of 13, we will delete all pertinent information from our systems. We will not knowingly reply to information requests from children under the age of 13, if so identified. A parent or guardian must initiate any requests for information from children under the age of 13 on their behalf. We encourage parents to supervise children when they browse the Internet. Privacy Policy Updates

The Stone Age Institute may, when necessary, update this policy so that it evolves with the rapidly changing technologies employed on the internet. All revisions will be posted to this website and any revised Privacy Policy will apply only to data collected subsequent to its effective date.

Other Terms of Use

THE STONE AGE INSTITUTE® and FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ name, logo, or other trademarks may not be copied or used without explicit prior written permission from the Stone Age Institute.

Commercial use of THE STONE AGE INSTITUTE® and the FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ name, logo, trademarks, Content, and associated Stone Age Institute name, logo, trademarks, and Content are strictly prohibited.

If you wish to link to the SAI websites, please use a text link, not the logos.

THE STONE AGE INSTITUTE® website Content and FROM THE BIG BANG TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB™ website Content may be used for non-commercial educational purposes such as, research papers, academic class work, lectures, lesson plans, personal website, blog or Facebook® (or other social networking) page, but must explicitly and clearly:
